Jason or “J” has been a sports instructor for 17 years. 
A natural risk manager, J has successfully graduated many sports enthusiasts to new levels while keeping them safe from the inherent dangers many sports present.
Since his first job at 15, he has taught recreational and competitive sailing, skiing, snowboarding, and paragliding
to people of all ages.
After completing his paragliding novice, intermediate, and advanced certification, J embarked on a year-long instructor apprenticeship
at Vancouver Island Paragliding.
After receiveing his paragliding instructor certification in fall 2004, J worked with VIParagliding for another year before founding Kootenay Paragliding with Joaquin.
In the fall of 2005, J and his wife Cindy, moved to Ymir and bought a house at the base of beautiful Mt. Dundee.
This venue now affords J a perfect location to conduct paragliding instruction and guiding seven days a week with his friend and fellow instructor Joaquin, and the rest of the Kootenay Paragliding Team.
