Joaquin

Joaquin Klein has been enjoying mountain sports for as long as he can remember. Most of his life has been spent skiing, climbing, paddling, and biking throughout the American Southwest.

Preparing for a Paragliding Flight

Before learning how to fly, Joaquin worked as a climbing guide in New Mexico for ten years.

Though he has been paragliding since 2001, it was alpine skiing that brought Joaquin to British Columbia and Ymir. In pursuing his instructor rating, Joaq met Jason and a friendship formed that led to the founding of Kootenay Paragliding.

Joaquin now lives in Ymir with his wife Kari-Lynn and their two boys, Jaiden and Milo.
