Truly at home in the outdoors, Chris is one of KPG's back-country specialists. Chris is becoming as "at home" in the air, as on his mountain bike, or when cooking gourmet meals around the campfire. He is certified for backcountry first-aid; if you are going vol-bivowac in the Kootenays, make sure to bring Chris along! As well as being a avid outdoorsman, Chris is a talented and ambitious videographer, editor, and general media handyman.

Joaquin Klein has been enjoying mountain sports for as long as he can remember. Most of his life has been spent skiing, photographing, climbing, paddling, and biking throughout the American Southwest. Before learning how to fly, Joaquin worked as a climbing guide in New Mexico for ten years. Though he has been paragliding since 2001, it was alpine skiing that brought Joaquin to British Columbia and Ymir. In pursuing his instructor rating, Joaq met Jason and a friendship formed that led to the founding of Kootenay Paragliding. Joaquin now lives in Ymir with his wife Kari-Lynn and their two boys, Jaiden and Milo.

Some people may think Andrew is weird because he became a paraglider pilot before getting his driver's license. Whether it's continuously helping to explore new XC routes, aiding students, or keeping the passion alive through laughter and inspirational flying: Andrew is a vital part of the KPG Team. His natural artistic talent has made him lead cinematographer on film projects, one of many roles he plays on the team. |
